In recent months, Bozeman’s population has increased even more than its unmatched pre-COVID-19 growth rate.  Exiles from urban areas on the coasts have sought a new life here in the aftermath of COVID-19 and social upheaval.  Much of this can be seen as a reaction against what we could refer to as the “revolutionary spirit of 1789 Paris” gripping parts of our nation.  This revolutionary spirit is characterized by a scorched-earth brand of power politics that doesn’t pose realistic solutions to our polarized culture.
