Fall Adult Discipleship Classes
September 8 - December 15
Adult Discipleship Classes Fall 2019 – Sundays at 10 AM:
Selfies and the Mona Lisa: Ever get the feeling that we are all getting a little too caught up in ourselves? That by focusing so much on “me” we are losing sight of all the beautiful things that surround us? Taught by Pastor Jeff, this class will be filled with thought-provoking and controversial discussions about the biblical role of beauty in nature, the arts, architecture, and everyday life. The goal of this class is to help you use the other lens on your camera phone and to enjoy the beauty of God in the world. Will meet in the Performance Hall.
Evangelism: What, Where, How in Our Current Era?What is evangelism? Is it still relevant in our culture? Is it for me? How do I know what to say and when? What about all those questions? And what is apologetics anyway? Using The Heart of Evangelism by Jerram Barrs as a guide, Catherine Aubrecht will cover the what, where, and how to share what you believe and equip you with biblical foundations for the why of what you believe. Meets in the Cafeteria.
The Ten Truths: The Bible is a large book. What are the most important parts? Would you like a way to remember the foundational truths of the faith and the scriptures behind them? Led by Rex Clark, this will be discussing ten biblical truths and how they fit into the big picture. We will look at how each truth answers a major life question, convinces us further of the reality of God, and has a life-changing effect. Meets in the Performance Hall.
