Student Ministry: Youth (6th-12th grades)
We want to give youth the opportunity to form authentic relationships with one another and to really get to know Jesus Christ on a personal level. While youth need time with one another, we also believe that they need time with other adults in the church who care about them and can mentor them and model what it means to be a godly man or woman in today’s culture. Here’s how youth (6th-12th grades) can get involved:
Sundays, 10 AM-10:45 AM (School year)
Junior High Youth Group (6th-8th grades)
Our 6th-8th graders meet for worship, teaching and prayer groups every other Wednesday night from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Meets at Petra Academy. Invite your friends!
High School Youth Group (9th-12th grades)
Our 9th-12th graders meet for worship, teaching and prayer groups every other Wednesday night from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Meets at Petra Academy. Invite your friends!
Each fall we take our 9th-12th graders on a retreat for rest, refreshment, and restoration! Plan on biblical teaching, worship, team building, and outdoor activities!
Early each year, students (6th-12th grade) head up to Yellowstone Alliance Adventures for the weekend for our annual Winter Retreat! We have a great time hanging out, playing broom hockey, flying down the tubing hill, and playing games. We have a spiritual emphasis theme each year that drives our evening programs of worship and teaching. Details will be in the fall Student Ministries Newsletter.
There are lots of opportunities for students to connect with and be mentored by adults who care, who are relevant, and who have a passion for Christ. Student discipleship can be seen in action during our Wednesday night gatherings as well as one-on-one discipleship as students and leaders get to know one another better. We have a committed group of student leaders and leaders who are students who would love to get to know you! Come visit us on Wednesdays or Sundays!
Our Vision for Student Ministry
TSM Vision: To Disciple Students by entering into life with and walking alongside students. To point them to Jesus and God’s Grace in their lives. To help them intersect faith in Christ with their growth in Christ. To model and encourage a love for God’s Word. To help and assist their families (the church) whenever needed and possible with their spiritual growth.
